Has MonaLisa Touch been approved by the FDA?

Results from a trial evaluating the laser treatment on postmenopausal women and breast cancer survivors who are experiencing vaginal health issues shows positive results and a high patient satisfaction rating. The procedure was approved by the FDA in December of 2014 for the treatment of symptoms associated with vaginal atrophy.

Where is the procedure performed?

The MonaLisa Touch is a quick, simple and safe procedure that can be performed in our Conroe, TX office. The procedure is typically performed by an obstetrician/gynecologist.

Is the MonaLisa Touch procedure uncomfortable or painful?

The in-office procedure is essentially painless, requires no anesthesia and is normally completed in less than 5 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

Patients receive three 3-minute treatments in our Conroe, TX office, which are spaced six weeks apart.

When should I expect to see results?

Most patients feel improvement after the very first treatment, although the procedure calls for three 3-minute treatments spaced over an 18-week period.

How long will the results last?

After receiving the third treatment, patients should return annually for a maintenance treatment.

Are there any limitations on my activities after the procedure is done?

Patients can return to normal activities after the procedure, but should not engage in sexual activities for 2-3 days. Your Columbus GA gynecologist will determine a post-procedure plan that is right for you.
